Dallas Cowboys Training Camp Now Open

Football season is a few months away but Practice season has officially begun in Oxnard for the Dallas Cowboys. America’s team will kick off it’s open Training camp in Ventura County today (July 31) and admission is free. On Saturday the Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones told a crowd of fans at a kick-off pep rally that out of the 35 years he’s owned the team, 24 of those years have been spent Training in Oxnard, but his math is a little fuzzy. The City of Oxnard has hosted teh Dallas Cowboys for merely 18 years, mostly due to teh city’s mild temps and proximity to the coast.

The team will host an All Heroes Military event tomorrow for military families and the public are invited to watch the cowboys practice and other events planned like cheerleading clinics, autograph sessions and even meet Rowdy the mascot through August 21st.
