LASD at The Olympics

While the world caught the opening ceremony to the Paris olympics over the weekend, what many don’t see is what takes place behind the scenes to ensure safety of all attendees at the games- including a delegation of about 28 LA County Sheriff’s personnel. The department sent a dedicated team for this international mission made up of specialized units including Patrol duties, canine units and other specialized divisions.

Authorities say that they’ll gain valuable experience for our upcoming Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 and serve as a valuable resource for American tourists and athletes participating in the Olympics.
