MLB's 3-Team, 8-Player Trade Deal

The White Sox, Cardinals and Dodgers reached a three-team, eight-player trade yesterday (Monday) that saw St. Louis landing starting pitcher Erick Fedde and outfielder Tommy Pham, while the Dodgers get Tommy Edman, reliever Michael Kopech and 17-year-old right-hander Oliver Gonzalez from the Cardinals.

Edman heads to LA after missing the entire first half of this season following wrist surgery. He has since played eight games in a rehab assignment and is nearing his return. Edman should bring versatility to a Dodgers team that has suffered a handful of injuries- with his experience playing multiple positions.

Relief Pitcher Kopech, has amassed 43 appearances in his transition to the bullpen this year, striking out 59 and issuing 24 walks in 43 innings.

The Dodgers are currently first in the National League West and play against the San Diego padres tonight at Petco Park.
